Rainbow Pony Math Race!

Rainbow Pony Math Race! is a game for first-graders and up. Use math to get to the end of the racetrack!

This file contains rules and printable board and cards for a physical game. First-grade level math skills (simple addition) are required. "Ponies" are not required! Any small toy or figurine will work. You can play it as Rainbow Racecar Math Race, Rainbow Dinosaur Math Race, whatever strikes your fancy.

Rainbow Pony Math Race! was designed by my daughter Nirali, who is six, with help from me. Like all our games, RPMR! is designed to be cheap, accessible, and disposable, and to involve kids' participation in every stage from construction to play. We leave lots of room for the kids to customize their personal copies of their games, from drawing to coloring, to trying out optional rules and game variants. Use the ones we've provided or design your own! This version provides two boards, one in full color and one that's printer- and crayon-friendly.
